This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We have implemented the following to meet EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA requirements:

  • Skip navigation link to bypass repetitive content (WCAG 2.4.1)
  • Logical heading hierarchy on all pages (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Descriptive page titles for every page (WCAG 2.4.2)
  • Text alternatives for all non-decorative images (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements (WCAG 2.4.7)
  • Keyboard accessibility for all navigation and interactive components (WCAG 2.1.1)
  • ARIA landmarks: navigation, main, footer (WCAG 1.3.6)
  • Correct language declaration on all pages (WCAG 3.1.1)
  • Accessible form labels and error identification (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.3.1, 3.3.2)
  • Colour contrast that meets the minimum 4.5:1 ratio for body text (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • No content that flashes more than three times per second (WCAG 2.3.1)
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion user preference (WCAG 2.3.3)
  • Cookie consent with keyboard-accessible controls (WCAG 2.1.1)

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:

  • Third-party embedded content — The Microsoft Forms iframe used in our "Register Interest" modal is controlled by Microsoft and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are exploring alternatives.
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3 — The invisible reCAPTCHA used on the contact form is operated by Google. We use the invisible (v3) variant specifically because it does not present accessibility barriers to users; however, challenge pages served by Google in unusual circumstances may not be fully accessible.
  • Dynamically loaded content — Blog and news posts are loaded via JavaScript from a CMS. Images uploaded to the CMS by content authors may lack alt text if not provided at the time of upload. We provide guidance to authors to include descriptive alt text.
  • PDF or downloadable documents — Any downloadable documents linked from the site may not yet be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these on request.
